How to Scan Barcodes With an Android Phone Using Barcode Scanner

Scanning barcodes of products for info about them used to be something only employees could do. Now you can use a barcode scanner app on your Android to look up pricing, reviews, and other info on any product at a store.
STEPS

HIT THE SEARCH SPYGLASS TOOL IN GOOGLE PLAY.

TYPE IN "BARCODE." Select the "barcode scanner" option.

INSTALL THE APP BY CLICKING "INSTALL." Then click "Open" to activate the barcode scanner

MATCH UP THE RED BAR WITH A BARCODE FOR THE PRODUCT YOU WANT TO SCAN.

OPEN ANY OF THE INFORMATION SOURCES YOU WANT SUCH AS GOOGLE SHOPPER OR JUST GOOGLE TO LEARN ABOUT YOUR PRODUCT.
TIPS
Be patient with the scanner, it can take a minute or two to work sometimes.
Turn down the volume on your phone a bit so the loud beeping noise it makes when it completes a scan doesn't bother any other shoppers or employees.
WARNINGS
Be careful with products you're scanning in case you don't want to actually buy them!
