Visit the Twitter page on your mobile browser.
Follow the steps in Add a Link Button to the Home Screen of an iPhone. That should make an app-like button.
3
CONNECT YOUR IPHONE TO TWITTER, VIA IT\'S INTEGRATED TWITTER FEATURE, IF YOU OWN AN IOS5 OR ABOVE IPHONE. The button to access this posting can be found in the Notifications area is actually a really great feature to have (if you post regularly, and don't seem to check your account much for mentions/replies or retweets).
Connect your account to Twitter to use this feature, and you'll be on your way shortly. The location to begin connecting your account, can be found in the Settings default app under the "Twitter "option on the top page of Settings app.
