How to Make Mini Apples Bento: 6 Steps (with Pictures)
These little apples bento by Gamene make an adorable bento or they can be used individually as a food display in their own right. They're easy to make, and here is how.
INGREDIENTS
Veggie ham (or real ham if preferred)
White cheese slice

black sesame seeds (for the pips)
White steamed rice, plain
Pan-fried tofu cutlets
Garlic powder (optional)
Blackberries

Steamed broccoli floret
Pea pods

CREATE THE APPLES. Cut the veggie ham into two apple shapes. See the image for the outline. If you have an apple cookie cutter or sushi cutter shape, use those instead.
Cut the cheese into a half of each apple, as shown in the image. Lay on the apple.
Add three black sesame seeds to each apple half to form the pips.

ARRANGE THE BENTO. Place a layer of pan-friend tofu cutlet(s) at the base of the bento container about a little under three quarters of the length of the bento container. Sprinkle the cutlet with garlic powder for flavor, if desired. Add a layer of plain steamed rice next.

CREATE THE SALAD DISPLAY. Place the blackberries into a small paper candy/chocolate cup.
Place the blackberries in a cup into the last quarter of the bento container and arrange the remaining pieces around it (the cherries, steamed broccoli floret, carrot flowers, and pea pods.

ARRANGE THE APPLES IN PLACE ON THE RICE. Add two leaf picks to complete the picture.

TIPS
Instead of ham, you could use fine carrot slices, or other fine fruit or vegetable slices. If using real apple, sprinkle lemon juice over it to prevent browning.
